いくつかのバンドでドラムを演奏しています。
自然の中でのランニングや、日本・アメリカ・スペインについて学びながら、旅行することが好きです。
以外かもしれませんが、納豆も好きですよ！

I enjoy playing drums in various bands, running through beautiful nature, and studying and traveling in Japan, America, and Spain.  Oh, and I like natto too!

こんにちは！この度はIBイングリッシュでの学習をご検討いただき、誠にありがとうございます。
英語を教えること、生徒さん達と一緒に学ぶことが大好きですので、取手校で皆様にお会いできること、皆様の英語力向上のお手伝いができることをとても楽しみにしています。
 
私はニューヨーク州立大学で学び、第二言語教育の理学修士号（MSEd）、幼稚園、小学校、中学校、高校の教員免許を修得しております。また、日本の大学で子ども英語教育、パブリックスピーキング、ライティング、異文化理解の講義を担当した経験があります。そのほかにスペイン史に関する研究をつづけており、著書の出版、スペインで専門会議での講演も定期的に行っています。
 
私がいるIBイングリッシュ取手校では、幅広い年齢の生徒さん達が英語を学ばれています。レッスンにおいては、明るく楽しい雰囲気の中で英語に親しみ、コミュニケーション力をつけていくことを目指しています。弊校で学ばれた皆さんがその英語力を自信をもって発揮され、広く世界で活躍し成功されますことを願ってレッスンを組み立てております。

Hello! Thank you very much for considering studying at IB English.  I look forward to meeting you and helping improve your English.  I really enjoy teaching English and working with students.  I have a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree in Second Language Education from the State University of New York and am a licensed teacher for kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high schools.  I have also taught university courses in Children’s English Education, Public Speaking, Writing, and Cross-Cultural Understanding, written published books on Spanish history, and I regularly speak at professional conferences in Spain.

At IB English Toride, it is a joy to work with students of all ages.  We aim to create a cheerful energetic atmosphere where students can be motivated to learn, practice, and communicate in English. Students will become better English speakers and gain confidence to grow and succeed in an international world.

I’ve lived in Japan for about 15 years. I enjoy experiencing the life-changing process of language learning with my students. What a pleasure it is to be alive. I cherish each day!

日本食を作ることが好きです。好きなスポーツはサッカーで、リバプールFCの大ファンです。

I love cooking, especially Japanese food. My favourite sport is soccer, and I’m a big fan of Liverpool FC

2015年から日本に住んでいて英語を教えています。高校のころから日本に住むことに憧れがあり、今でも毎日が楽しいです。
英語教師になるために、イギリスでトレーニングを積んだので、とても良いレッスンを皆さんにお届けできると思います。
私が教えるだけではなく、生徒の皆さんから新しいことを学ぶことも好きなので、一緒に楽しく学びましょう！

I’ve lived and taught English in Japan since 2015. My dream since High School was to live here in Japan, and I’m loving every moment!
I trained as an English Teacher in England, so I could provide the best possible lessons to you. But I also love learning new, interesting things from my students, so I look forward to us learning together!

高校と大学で日本語を勉強した後、日本の美味しい食べ物含む日本文化に触れるために2017年に日本に来ました。
日本に来てからは、日本の公共交通機関の素晴らしさに感動しています。

人生は終わりのない学びの探求です。私は生徒が学び、成長する姿を見ることが大好きです。
生徒の皆さんが英語力を向上させ、自信をつけていくと、何か大切なことを成し遂げたような気持ちになります。

After studying Japanese in high school and university, I came to Japan in 2017 to experience Japanese culture and eat delicious food.
The public transportation in Japan is wonderful.
Life is a never ending quest of learning. I love seeing people learn and grow.
When my students improve their English skills and build their confidence, I feel like I accomplished something important.

I like martial arts, hiking, camping, video games, and finding new places.

2017 年から IBイングリッシュで働いてきて、教えることほど素晴らしいことはないと実感しました。
生徒と一緒に学び、成長し、理解の世界を広げていくことは、私にとって魔法のように感じます。
これに日本の素晴らしさが加われば、まさに夢のような環境だと思います。

Through my years at IB English since 2017, I have found that there is nothing quite like teaching. Working together with your students to learn, to grow, and to open a whole world of understanding is, in my opinion, as close to real magic as it gets. Couple that with the wonderful environment in Japan, and you're living the dream. We love what we do and we hope to see you all soon.

ボードゲームを遊ぶことが大好きで、それ以外にも、美味しいご飯を食べたり、ロックコンサートに行ったり、アクション映画を観たりします。（ポケモンの大ファンでもあります！）

I really love playing board games. I also enjoy eating, going to rock concerts, and watching action movies. (...I'm a big Pokémon fan, too!)

これまでIBイングリッシュで、好奇心旺盛な 1 歳児から学ぶことに意欲的な74 歳のお年寄りまで、1,000人近くの生徒を教える機会に恵まれ、そういった経験を常に楽しんでいます。生徒の成長を助け、彼らが様々な素晴らしい方法で英語を使う姿を見ることができることに、とてもやりがいを感じます。

皆さんが自分の「英語の声」を見つけ出すことを、お手伝いできればと思います！

I've had the privilege of teaching close to 1,000 students during my time at IB English, from curious 1 year olds all the way up to motivated 74 year olds, and it's been such a joy. Being able to be a part of helping my students grow and seeing them use English in all sorts of wonderful ways is such a fulfilling part of my job. I can't wait to help you discover your 'English voice'!

教師になることは、ずっと私がやりたいと思っていたことでした。IBイングリッシュで働くことで、日本での素晴らしい体験を楽しみながら、私の夢を叶えるとこができています。始めたばかりの生徒が英語は楽しいと思う気持ちを生み出すことから、より上級者の生徒が持つ具体的な目標の達成に導くことまで、彼らが本当に理解したときに訪れる「ひらめきの瞬間」を目撃したときに一番やりがいを感じます。

より多くの生徒が最高の結果を得ることのお手伝いできることを楽しみにしています。

Becoming a teacher was something that I knew I wanted to do, and working at IB English gives me the opportunity to fulfill that dream while enjoying all the incredible experiences Japan has to offer. From sparking a love for English in young learners to guiding more advanced students toward their goals, there's nothing more rewarding than witnessing that "lightbulb moment" when they truly understand.

私は20年以上日本に住んでいて、日本の穏やかな自然とその美しさが好きです。
私は英語を教えることが大好きです。同じ日が二度とないので、いつも何か新しいことを学ぶ機会があります。
生徒が新しい単語や言語を発見して、自信を付けていくのを見ることは素晴らしいと思います。

I've lived in Japan for over 20 years, and I like the peaceful nature and natural beauty of Japan.
I love teaching. It's never the same day twice so there's always an opportunity for me to learn or do something new with students. And it's great seeing my students find their confidence when they discover new words and language.
